LinkedIn Learning offers courses and learning paths, with video, audio and text formats. Quizzes, exercise files and certificates depend on the course and access route. Look for the exact topic, level and software version you need.
Best for
Following a named instructor's course, especially when an employer, school or participating library provides access.
Not for
Assuming every course includes personal feedback or that every certificate is a professional qualification.

Coursera offers provider-defined courses and programs with course-dependent assignments and credentials. Its free preview model generally opens the first module, rather than promising free completion of the whole course.
Best for
A defined syllabus or a specific provider's certificate, after checking its requirements.
Not for
Assuming every course is included in a subscription or every credential meets a particular employer's requirement.

BeFreed's current App Store listing says it starts from a goal and situation, builds a sequenced audio learning plan from books, research, interviews, expert talks, and optional learner sources, then adapts the plan as the learner progresses. It also advertises live conversation practice, source citations, notes, and growth tracking.

The US App Store listed monthly US$12.99, quarterly US$28.99 and yearly US$89.99 options on 29 September 2026, alongside other offers. These are listed purchases, not a guaranteed checkout offer. The website's Premium plan caps new lessons at 30 per month.
Blinkist offers short text and audio summaries. Its plan guide describes catalog access, curated guides and offline use in Premium, source summarization in Pro, and live Sessions and infographics in Platinum. Check the tier for the feature you need.
Best for
Sampling or revisiting book ideas when a condensed format suits the task.
Not for
Assuming a summary supplies the full argument, supervised practice or an assessed qualification.
Price
Basic offers one selected title each day. Paid tiers expand access; a trial is available. Confirm your local price and renewal term.
Original example: "Please draft the customer FAQ by Friday. Use the approved product facts, flag unanswered questions and do not publish it. We will review the draft Thursday at 3 pm."
The handoff names an output, deadline, information boundary, authority limit and check. A course that helps you identify those pieces may fit a delegation gap. An app that only gives motivational quotes would not meet this particular need.
Self-check: if you remove "do not publish it", what becomes unclear? The recipient may not know whether drafting also includes authority to release. Clarify that boundary rather than adding more encouragement.
Before you choose
Use the organization as a source of constraints.
Ask your manager what decisions you own and where approval is required. For performance, pay, employment or safety matters, follow the relevant process and qualified advice. Do not outsource those decisions to an app.
A peer can help rehearse a conversation when appropriate, but they may not know every rule or perspective. Use learning material to prepare, then verify the actual requirements.
