Try the idea
Original example: solve 2x + 6 = 14. Subtract 6 from both sides, then divide by 2 to get x = 4. Substitution gives 2 × 4 + 6 = 14. Now solve 2x + 6 = 18; the answer is x = 6.
If you get stuck, identify the missing step and try a relevant lesson in each product. Compare whether its explanation helps you solve a fresh problem. This is a proposed personal fit check, not a benchmark we ran.
Before you choose
Khan Academy's core material is free. Khanmigo learner access has separate payment and eligibility rules; adult access currently requires US residence and billing, while younger learners use an eligible parent or school route. Teacher arrangements differ.
Brilliant's free keys can open a lesson or practice set. Premium changes access and Koji features. Its current help page says lessons cannot be downloaded for offline use.
Before you choose
Both products contain material at different levels. A beginner may find a suitable Brilliant lesson; an advanced learner may find relevant Khan Academy material. Inspect prerequisites and the actual task.
Use both only if they serve distinct needs. More apps and parallel streaks do not by themselves demonstrate progress.
